Hey everyone

Postby mgoffin on Fri Jul 09, 2010 6:50 pm

Name's Mike. I moved down here last year. A friend of mine was tipped off about RLC and I decided to register. I haven't played much since high school in CT, and my body is not what it used to be. I played long pole, and I have some experience with lp middie, but I'm hoping to play straight D until my legs get under me again.

Hoping to get my act together soon and see y'all out on Sundays. If my body reacts well to running around like a kid again, maybe I can join up on the Wednesday games as well. I already have gear from playing one short season of lax up in NYC for ULAX. Not sure if I have to wear any specific colors or anything like that.

Looking forward to having some fun!

Welcome Mike!

No need to wear specific colors. We play dark vs. white. Best is to bring a reversible jersey if you have one that way you can be on whichever team needs a long pole. If you don't have a reversible, second best is to bring an unambiguously white or dark (black, dark blue) jersey. Worst case you have something in the middle, light brown, yellow or gray. That makes it hard for everyone to know what team you are on.

See you out there.

Thanks, Sean!

I joined the group this past weekend, and it was great! Definitely a lot of rust to shake off, and I can already tell it'll be a few months before my legs will be under me again. Looking forward to next weekend!
